Chelan County sheriff's Department End of Watch: Thursday, June 26th, 2003 Date of Incident: Thursday, June 26th, 2003 Age: 35 Years Tour of Duty: 7 years 8 months Cause of Death: Gunfire Suspect: Jose Sanchez-Guillen, at large belived to be armed and heading for Mexico. Chelan County Deputy Saul Gallegos died when he was shot in the head during a traffic stop near Lake Chelan. Deputy Gallegos was shot after he made contact with Jose Sanchez-Guillen, who is accused of repeatedly driving with a suspended license, and other traffic infractions. Deputy Gallegos is survived by his wife, twin 8-year-old sons, and a 3-year-old son. News Links
