Clark County Sheriff's Sergeant Brad Crawford was fatally injured when the armed suspect crawled from a home that sheriff's officers had surrounded, climbed into a full size pickup truck and rammed Sergeant Crawford’s patrol car Friday night, fatally injuring him. Deputies had responded to a report of a man with a gun at a house north of Orchards. When the Sheriff’s Department arrived on-site they identified that the suspect was suicidal and engaged the SWAT team. While the SWAT team was positioning themselves the suspect crawled out of a window and into his full size pickup. Instead of fleeing the scene, the man drove across a field and rammed into the drivers side of Crawford's patrol car around 8:15 p.m. mortally injuring Crawford, officials said.
